Collection: Pía Aldana

My artistic production arises from reflections and research on domestic collecting, and the ethnographic, museum, ritual, heritage, memorial and even fictional aspects intrinsic to the practice or act of collecting. I value collecting from the displacements, variations and innumerable particularities that I observe manifest/inhabit the practice. From the variations of the act of collecting, I move towards nature (endemic flora and fauna) highlighted in my work as the most sacred and irreplaceable heritage) and towards our popular mythical universe, as it constitutes a playful/lucid space of identity and collective assortment.
